BMW 3200 CS

The elegant BMW 3200 CS Coupé was designed by Nuccio Bertone as the last model of the BMW V8 models. The lightweight alloy V8 engine had a displacement of 3168 cc, generated an output of 160 hp and accelerated the vehicle to a top speed of 200 km/h. In spite of this power combined with an elegant design and luxurious interior, only 603 examples were sold between 1962 and 1965. Consequently, there was no direct successor to the BMW 3200 CS. In 1968, BMW opened up another successful chapter in its coupé story with the athletic six-cylinder engines in the BMW E9 model series.
