BMW 530i Touring (E34)

Shortly after the introduction of the new V8 engines in the BMW 5 Series (E34), the eight-cylinder Touring models also lined up on the starting grid. The BMW 530i Touring was a luxury estate car for discerning customers, which also had impressive sporty driving characteristics. The 3.0 litre V8 engine (M60B30) already familiar from the BMW 530i Sedan delivered driving performance comparable with a sports car and accelerated the estate car weighing 1,630 kg in the sprint to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds. The new eight-cylinder models could be identified by the wider kidney-shaped grille. Up to 1996, approximately 5,000 vehicles of this type were produced.
